Root causes & Road Blocks

Never stop asking good questions. Keep asking, “WHY?” until you cannot go any further, and then you may have found your child’s root causes.

If we do not run after root causes for our children’s health, it can be like looking out over our yard that is full of dandelions. You see the pesky yellow flowers and want them out of your yard, so you grab the mower. You cut off the heads and step back and admire a yard that has no more yellow flowers. But then, the next week they are back. And now they are back with a vengeance, popping up in different places and growing in abundance. It can be a false sense of addressing the problem. You cannot just cut it off at the head, instead you have to go deep and pull up the root in order to deal with the symptom.

Root causes apply to all aspects of our kids: body, soul, mind, heart, and will. But to find these roots, we must be able to look at our kids “symptoms” and learn to ask questions:

“Why is their acne there in the first place?”

“Why does their tummy hurt all the time?”

“Why are they having constant allergy symptoms?”

“Why are they always so angry after school?”

“Why are they not having bowel movements daily?”

“Why are they so upset at bedtime?”

The list could go on and on. I will add a note of caution here- I do believe that it is super important to press in, and to take time to understand the potential root causes. Digging into the things that are standing in the way of our sweet little ones from being all they were meant to be. But I do find that sometimes this can be a dark hole that parents can get stuck in. If you feel overwhelmed, and this applies to all aspects of this membership, take a deep breath, go back to your vision and your why, and assess where you have bandwidth to press in.

There is a general “roadmap” that seems to work best for most kids when addressing chronic illness or healing protocols. But remember, everyone is bio-individual. No two kids are the same. Even in the same family, their needs often look different. This roadmap is here to help you understand how and why the progression seems best to address in this particular order:

Foundations: Busting biofilms. Healing the gut. Binding toxins. Opening drainage pathways. Sometimes boosting nutritional deficiencies, lowering inflammation, and optimizing methylation. This progress can stir up parasites, candida/fungus/bacteria, mold/metals, emotions.

Parasites: Commonly released - candida/fungus/bacteria, mold/metals, chemicals/toxins, lyme+coinfections, viral load, emotions. Sometimes this can be a great time to micro-dose lyme.

Metals & Mold: Surface level first, followed often by clean up, then deeper level. May stir up - virus/radiation, chemicals/toxins, SIBO/candia

Lyme: Lyme bacteria & Co-infections. Babesia, Bartonella, Borrelia. May stir up: Parasites, Candida/Fungus/Bacteria, Mold/Metals, Emotions.

Environmental Toxins: Detox of - VOC’s, Herbicide, Glyphosate, PEG’s/ Phalates/Etc, Paint, Makeup. Commonly released: parasites, candida/fungus/bacteria, mold/metals, viral load.

Virus & Retrovirus: Most common Epstein Barr virus, HPV, Herpes. May stir up: mold, metals, viral load: cold sores, etc
